I think it’s safe to say that a 2000w electric scooter is not for children! You will also find that actually they will mostly if not always have a seat but will have the convenience of the ability to fold down so easy to transport etc.
The 2000w electric scooter can do some super speeds of up to 50km/h dependent on load and terrain etc. The 2000w electric scooter will go up to 38km without charging (load/terrain dependent) Charges fully within 6-8 hours.
The 2000w electric scooter is not waterproof so you are slightly controlled by the weather as and when you can go out on it which is a shame but, in all fairness… who wants to go out in the rain anyway! This beast is for good days out when the sun is shining and the days are long.

Electric Scooter Rental
Unfortunately, you can’t rent scooters everywhere in the UK just yet but there are certain places in the UK where you can indeed rent an electric scooter. Some of the bigger cities are trialling an electric scooter scheme to see just how well it would work across the country. There are certain rules the users of the rental scooters have to abide by such as, users are allowed to ride their scooter along roads, cycle tracks and bike lanes however not motorways and pavements.
Also, helmets are only advised, not mandatory and the speed of the electric scooter is a rather tame speed of 15.5mph but, 15.5mph is rather speedy whilst scooting past all those poor commuters stuck in city traffic.
Are Kick Scooters Legal?
Yes! Electric scooters are no officially legal in NYC. NYC has followed on from other cities in the USA and is embracing this cheap, eco-friendly way of travelling around the city.
Electric kick scooters have been praised by some New Yorkers but then there is the other New Yorkers that find them annoying and a potential danger to pedestrians. Kick scooters are more seen as skateboards in New York. You must be over the age of 16 to use the electric kick scooters and if you are under 18 you must wear a safety helmet.
The pandemic was the main factor in pushing the legalisation of kick scooters to try and avoid any cross-contamination on public transport and car-sharing.
Where Can I Ride My Electric Scooter?
so, you can ride your electric scooter anywhere in the UK as long as it’s on private land and you have permission from the landowner.
It is an offence to ride your electric scooter and can even get you points so please, please bare this in mind… Go and find some private land and ask the owner if they will allow you a few hours of fun!
In the spring trials are taking place for 12 months for electric scooters to be rented so you will be able to use and electric scooter in cities such as London but you will not be able to use your own. There are a few reasons for this one of them being the rental scooters have a max speed and they can be monitored properly over the 12-month trial takes place.
