Electric Scooters Repair
As with all of our electric scooters, you do have a warranty on them and we have a wonderful customer service team on hand for help. If in the unlikely event that you are having an issue with one of our electric scooters we advise you try the following:
- Make Sure the power switch is on. (we like to make things idiot-proof)
- Check the fuse or circuit breaker.
- Try pushing the scooter to start. (Give this a go a few times)
- Try charging the battery pack for full hours. (Leave it be for 6 hours)
- Inspect the motor by sight, touch and smell. (if you smell burning, we have to tell you, it’s not great news!)
- Test the fuse or circuit breaker and also the brake lever switch.
When Are Electric Scooters Coming To London?
Well, early spring 2021 electric scooters will be available in London, you will soon see them zipping through the streets, however they will be from a designated rental company! You will not legally be allowed to ride your electric scooter in London or anywhere until they have been legalised … Which is going through the motions as you read this.
It is however very exciting at the thought of getting electric scooters on the roads not just for travel or convenience but imagine how much this is going to help with pollution. Where Can I Ride Electric Scooters?
Unfortunately, you still can’t ride your electric scooters legally on roads and pavements. but we do have some good news… You can still ride your scooter!
But it does have to be ridden on private land and you must have permission from the landowner (maybe offer them a ride on your electric scooter… they won’t be able to say no!). Electric scooters right now are classified as Personal light electric vehicles so annoyingly they are put in the same classification of other motor vehicles… which means they have the same legal requirements such as Tax, MOT and licensing.
So, in short … You can only ride your electric scooter on private land.
